I have been involved with wildlife research, education and conservation since the early 1980s. Currently I am the CEO of Metastring Foundation, and a member of the Biodiversity Collaborative spearheading the preparatory work on the National Mission on Biodiversity and Human Well-Being. During my career I have worked with Wildlife Institute of India, UNDP, and played leadership roles at ATREE, Wildlife Conservation Society-India Program, Madras Crocodile Bank Trust, Foundation for Ecological Security and Greenpeace India. My current interests include conservation of large carnivores, conservation and management of wildlife and biodiversity outside Protected Areas, human-wildlife conflicts and ecological restoration.
