Call for Applications
Position: Communications Coordinator
Key responsibilities:

Engaging with print and visual media on the coexistence narrative in wildlife conservation discourse
-
Creating an annual communications plan utilising the Coexistence Consortium’s existing communication channels and expanding into more effective channels
-
Creating, curating, and distributing the bimonthly Consortium newsletter
-
Creating graphical and audio/visual media around the Consortium’s activities
-
Writing blog posts/media content centred on the Consortium’s activities and the theme of coexistence
-
Handling social media for the Consortium (min 3 posts per week)
-
Coordinating with Coexistence Fellows to create content to highlight their projects on all channels
-
Organising and moderating webinars with invited experts and creating posters/associated visual communications
-
Updating the website as needed
Requirements:
-
Experience with basic graphics design tools
-
Proven track record of high quality writing in English
-
Willingness to work with diverse stakeholders and devise effective communication strategies
-
Self-driven and comfortable working with remote teams
-
Interest and willingness to travel for reports on stories/fellows/events
Desirable qualifications:
-
Published writing on conservation issues in India and/or human-wildlife interactions
-
A minimum of 2 years of experience working in Communications in the fields of science/ecology/conservation/anthropology

Degree in Communication Studies
-
Fluency in one or more regional Indian languages
-
Experience and familiarity with public speaking
Location: Bangalore
Remuneration: Negotiable based on qualifications and experience (for example ₹30-35,000 per month for someone with a Master’s degree and 2 years of work experience).
